Guidance to Questions in Life ~ The Book Of Change (I-Jing) – 59

Dispersion

Wind (upper trigram) is blowing over the water (lower trigram), creating mist.

Water freezes during the wintertime. When spring arrives, the warm breeze melts the ice into a blend of ice chunks and water that flows into the river. This is analogous to the human heart. When it is hardened by self-centered greed, it requires the warmth created by a sense of connection to release. Religion has withstood the test of time as one of the most effective ways to soften one’s heart.

With this hexagram, one can gain success on big decisions if he has strong faith in his religion, proceeds according to his beliefs, and immerse oneself in religious music and ceremonies.
